About Walgrave WALGRAVELocal information VILLAGE HALLThe Village Hall was opened in 1991 to provide a purpose built social venue for the village. The facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, seating and tables for 100 people, foyer, sports changing rooms and a small meeting room. The hall is used by a wide variety of clubs including: line dancing, short mat bowls, dog clubs, mums and tots, as well as social functions for village fund raising. It is located on the eastern fringe of the village, on the Kettering Road. Originally, farmland with a marshy northern end, local residents and volunteers planned and planted the layout. Streams and pond are fed from natural springs with an unusually high iron content which leaves a red deposit in the water - hence the name Red Springs.
